iPhone-Optimized Shortcuts

Manage those tasks quickly with shortcuts! Swipe right in a list to schedule a task. Swipe left to move, cancel, or delete. Flick between viewing lists and tags. On iPhone 6s, press the Hit List icon on the Home screen for Quick Actions to immediately create a new task, or go straight to your Today list.

Our sync service — speedy as ever — is now included with The Hit List. Synchronize seamlessly and automatically between your Apple devices.

Fast Editing

Edit tasks at a single touch — no edit mode to switch in and out of! Dates are adjusted using an integrated calendar. Repetition and priority controls stay out of your way but are there instantly, in-line, with a simple tap. Type in subtasks, right there on the card.

Improvements

  • Tasks still being worked on from a previous day are placed a little lower down the Today list.
  • When using the Share extension to create a new task, it syncs to your other devices immediately, without needing to launch The Hit List app.
  • Simplified sorting options for the Today and Upcoming lists.
  • Added animations when using task list shortcut to adjust a start date, and when deleting a list, folder or tag.

Bug Fixes

  • When checking off tasks, the option to go to dedicated ?Completed Tasks? screen only appears if needed.
  • The ordering of tasks within the Today list could, under certain circumstances, be slightly randomized.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could happen on launch or after a full sync, if an incomplete repeating task had somehow ended up on an archived list.

Completed Tasks

  • When you go to a list's Completed Tasks screen, any completed tasks are automatically cleared away from the previous screen

The Hit List includes a new Share extension. Now, it's easy to take text or a URL in another app, and share it to add a new task to one of your lists. For example, in Safari you could save a web page for reading later, as part of a project you're working on.

  • Tasks due soon, and without a start date are properly formatted in task lists
